What is an SSL?
An SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a certificate, that when used in a website provides security in the form of encryption between the server and the user who is visiting the website. It authenticates a secure connection between the users’ web browser and the website server.
How does the user know that there is an SSL installed in their website?
When you type your website (yourdomain.com) in your browsers address bar and hit Enter (Return), if your website has https:// before your website or a padlock icon, it means that you have an SSL installed in your website.
